Purpose:

The purpose of this workshop is to provide training and knowledge to regulatory staff and other stakeholders on how the planning process, review and execution of transport security plans are carried out.  The workshop will consist of classes focused on radiological security while in transport and the development of Transport Security plans.  The training workshop is expected to increase Ghana’s capacity to safely and securely transport radiological material in line with the NRA Act, ACT 895 of 2015 and international standards.

Participation:

Besides key players from Ghana Atomic Energy Commission and NRA who will be directly involved in the upcoming core conversion involving the replacement of the high enriched uranium core with low enriched uranium at Ghana Research Reactor-1 (GHARR-1), some participants from the Security Agencies will be participating.
